Not the sun
But far away in the dark
At the horizon there was a candle
A candle of hope
A candle spreading few rays of light
Against those scary
Those selfish
Rays of darkness
But one day, not so fine
It required nothing but
A slightest blow of air
To put the candle off
The blow of air that came out with that ‘no’
And then it was dark
Darker than the depths of hell
Then something fell on my hand
A drop
I thought it would rain
I thought there would be lightening
And darkness would disappear in its flash
But, not so lucky was I
I found out that the clouds were in my eyes
No flash
No light
Just drops of rain
And those selfish rays of darkness
In the dark
It rained heavier than it ever had
It rained for longer than it ever had
There was no one
No one but I
Alone
Helpless
To catch the drops of rain
To hear the sound of clash
To wait for a flash… That never came
It had to stop some time
It did
It stopped raining
But the clouds still remained
The stilled wind started to move
It became swifter and swifter
Calling the clouds, which refused to go
And then the selfish darkness said
Go on
It’s not the end
You’ve lost one candle
You’ll get another one
But then I told myself
How can I forget one, whom I cared so much for
How can I forget one, who directed my way for so long
Whom I loved for so long
And I still do
Although not many
I can’t forget those few rays of light
I can’t stop caring or worrying for the candle
Just because it is not burning
I can't stop loving
Just like that
Anyway, wherever you are
I
Wandering in this darkness
know that, one day I will find you
And light you again
And you’ll glow brighter
And kill those
Selfish rays of darkness
But far away in the dark
At the horizon there was a candle
A candle of hope
A candle spreading few rays of light
Against those scary
Those selfish
Rays of darkness
But one day, not so fine
